Epitalon is a tetrapeptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. Like KPV it is short enough that synthesis impurities should be minimal, but it contains two acidic residues, and peptides with a high proportion of acidic residues can be more sensitive to pH during handling and reconstitution.
