DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood by the Swiss researchers Schoenenberger and Monnier in 1977. It is named for its association with slow-wave (delta) EEG activity in early animal studies.

Research Applications
