A common question from researchers ordering peptides in summer: does a few days in a hot delivery truck ruin them? For lyophilized peptides, the evidence-backed answer is almost always no — and here is why.
Lyophilized means transit-tough
Freeze-drying removes the water that drives most degradation chemistry. In the sealed, dry state, typical peptides tolerate days to weeks at ambient and even elevated temperatures with negligible loss — which is precisely why the industry ships lyophilized rather than in solution. Stability studies on lyophilized peptides consistently show that brief transit-scale heat exposure is orders of magnitude less damaging than moisture or freeze-thaw cycling after reconstitution.
What actually matters on arrival
Rather than worrying about the truck, check three things when a package lands: the vial seal is intact, the lot number on the label matches a published certificate, and the expiry date has comfortable runway. Then move the vials into proper storage — cool, dark, and dry — as covered in our storage and stability guide.
Verify, don’t assume
Every ANKR Lab vial carries a QR code that resolves to its batch’s certificate of analysis, so verification takes one scan: the lot on your label should appear in our COA library with its purity and identity results from an independent laboratory. If a vial ever arrives with a damaged seal or a lot number you cannot find, contact us — that is exactly the failure our testing and release process exists to catch.
All products are sold for laboratory research use only.
